Spine Lock: Instructions for Use (IFU)
Design: Spine Lock
Over time or due to injury, the intervertebral discs in the spice degenerate and pinch the surrounding nerves, leading to back pain. This condition is often treated by a procedure called spinal fusion surgery. The damaged disc is removed and replaced by an interbody spacer, providing increased support and space for bone graft to promote fusion. Currently there is a trade-off between bone graft space and incision size needed to insert the device. The SpineLock is a bi-directionally expanding lumbar interbody spacer that provides ample room for bone graft and can be inserted via minially invasive procedures.
