Tiger Snare: Instructions for Use (IFU)
Design: Tiger Snare
A polypectomy is a procedure performed during a colonoscopy that consists of removing abnormal clusters of cells, called polyps, from the colon wall in order to prevent the development of colon cancer. To remove these cells, polypectomy snares are used, but these devices are often unsuccessful at complete removal because polyps greatly vary in size, shape, and location. Therefore, South Flex Medical has developed the Tiger Snare: a single-use polypectomy snare that can not only rotate but also bend which is a feature that no other device on the market has.
